Screen design and web development of a responsive website for Dr. Prof. Mihály Fazekas, a leading expert in corruption research, showcasing his publications, teaching, and data.
I designed Mihály’s site to offer an engaging user experience, using both static and animated visuals to convey key information quickly and in a visually appealing way, while also allowing users to dive deeper into complex research. A vast amount of information was organised into a logical, user-friendly structure so that visitors can easily find exactly what they need.
Using WordPress purely as a foundation, I tailored the entire layout with custom CSS, powered by AI efficiency (CSS is the coding language that controls a website’s visual design, colors, and layout). By avoiding pre-made templates and minimizing vulnerable plugins, the result is a highly secure, customised website which truly reflects my client’s professional identity.
A central focus of this project was organizing my client’s extensive body of work—spanning nearly 200 research articles, book chapters, policy reports, and working papers. To handle this, I tailored a visually appealing, intuitive filtering tool that allows users to effortlessly search and navigate his lifetime of publications. It is proof that robust data organization and beautiful, high-end design can go hand in hand.
One of the aspects my client valued most was my distance from his specific field of study. Coming from the outside allowed me to bring objectivity and a fresh perspective to his work—ensuring his deep expertise translates beautifully, clearly and accurately on the screen.
